Dear FFS Tribe,

Nicole and I are delighted to invite you to a sound meditation ceremony after completing the FFS Summit on Monday morning, 10/23/23, at our friend’s beautiful retreat-center-like home about 25 minutes from downtown Sedona. 

There will be an opportunity to cold plunge and sauna before the ceremony to prepare your body and mind for a medicine-assisted internal journey guided by sounds from specially selected overtone emitting instruments, followed by a sharing circle. 

This is your chance to experience deep calm and peace of mind as beautiful harmonics resonate deeply for this supplement-assisted sound meditation. Sounds from the singing bowls, gong, monolina, koshi chimes, and many more esoteric overtone-emitting instruments will guide you into deep relaxation.

DEEP IMMERSION SOUND CEREMONY 10/23/2023

Please read the information listed below very carefully to the end. 

Date: Monday, 10/23/2023. The ceremony lasts approximately 6 hours (including sharing circle).

Location: 25 minutes from downtown Sedona (address will be provided upon RSVP). 

Time: 11 am ceremony start, arrive early to cold plunge and sauna

Exchange: $300 for participation, including supplements.

Supplements and questions: Once you fill out the RSVP intake form, we will meet/speak 1:1 before the ceremony to answer questions you may have.

Sound Journey Details:

Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." - Viktor E. Frankl”

Space exists between stimulus (ie; external events or internal thoughts) and our reactions to these events or thoughts in our lives. The more we can understand how to create and use space as a tool to override our initial conditioned reactions, the more we can respond to life with the ability to choose consciously and from a place of presence and equanimity. This is true freedom.

In sound meditations, we learn to listen judiciously. Listening is not a passive experience. Listening is one of the most powerful tools for becoming present and reclaiming our power. Listening to external sounds is a mirror for listening to internal sounds - in other words, thoughts - about ourselves and the world around us. 

The sonic journey is comprised of five parts:

Brief Informative Talk - We will discuss sound's esoteric, scientific, and therapeutic properties and share lessons learned from our teachers and current worldwide research.

Breathwork - You will be guided through a breath that will allow you to disengage from the mental chitter chatter, a perfect primer for transitioning from the default mode of awareness into heightened states of awareness & consciousness.

Vocal Meditation - Using your own vocal cords, you will discover your unique frequencies while tuning into the surrounding sounds and voices. The vocalization and harmonization allow you to practice radical self-expression, self-acceptance, and release. It is also an incredible tool for self-empowerment. 

Sound - John and Nicole will guide a sonic journey into the inner landscape of Self using overtone-emitting instruments (gongs, singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks, etc.) These rich overtones affect the brainwave cycles, neurochemistry, autonomic nervous system, heart-rate variability, and subtle energy in the body. Sound meditation sets the stage for a deep, meditative, and unique altered state of consciousness, allowing us to disconnect from physical, mental, emotional, and psychological habitual patterns.

Connection - We will have time to share musings, thoughts, and feelings about our individual experiences over fresh fruits and nuts that will leave you feeling grounded and re-energized.
